WILLIAMSBURG, VA

Blanche Louise Sorrels Pratt, 84, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2012 in Williamsburg, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Fairfield, VA., she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Minnie Balser Sorrels.

Blanche was an avid gardener, who also liked to cook and sew. Her grandchildren were her life.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Norman Pratt; her son, Jim Pratt and wife, Julia; her two grandchildren, Jaime and wife Dawn, and Casey Rek and husband Brian; her three great grandchildren, Alexa, Ramsey and Alexander. She is also survived by her sister, Vickie Ricks and husband Otis.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, April 12, 2012 in Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd, Williamsburg, VA., 23188 Ron Austin will officiate.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Great Bridge Chapel of Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, Chesapeake.
